Invest responsibly in low-carbon log construction

A safe log building lasts for generations

When you invest in our sensory-friendly and low-carbon service buildings,
day-care centres and schools, you are investing in a sustainable, green future.

Building responsibly with low-carbon logs

The carbon footprint of a naturally low-carbon log service building designed and built by Hoivarakentajat is usually about a third smaller than that of conventional service construction. Climate-friendly logs can be used to build carbon-neutral, even carbon-negative buildings – without external compensation.

  • Carbon neutrality means that no more harmful emissions enter the atmosphere than are sequestered.
  • A carbon-negative building causes more benefits than harm to the climate during its life cycle.

Sensory-friendly log construction is sought after by municipalities and cities

Our sensory-friendly log buildings have charmed users all over Finland. The log environment is truly enjoyable, and even in changing times, our buildings with proven stress-reducing effects attract life and activities.

Energy-efficient log construction is a safe investment

It is easy to breathe in a sensory-friendly log building. Log spaces compensate for fluctuations in humidity, and the inside air remains fresh for the next visitors as well. As a building material, log is very dense and prevents unnecessary air leakages.

“It matters to us who invests in the sites we build. Our customers are looking for longevity, safety and environmental responsibility in a log frame property. It is important that the owners are also committed to these values that we hold dear.”

Tarmo Kemppainen, CEO, Hoivarakentajat Oy

“We need to be able to make greener buildings by sourcing the building materials locally and preferably using renewable natural materials, to build communities that are perhaps denser. This is the vision of the future, and we are moving in that direction.”

Markku Karjalainen, Associate Professor of Wood Construction and Wood Architecture, University of Tampere
