Hoivarakentajat and Lumme Palvelukiinteistöt have agreed on the sale of 8 energy-efficient service homes for special groups, valued at approximately EUR 30 million.

Hoivarakentajat Oy and Lumme Palvelukiinteistöt Oy have agreed on a deal for several service homes for people with special needs. The transaction includes 8 energy-efficient log service homes across Finland and is valued at approximately EUR 30 million.

Some of the log service homes to be transferred to Lumme Palvelukiinteistöt have already been completed, some are under construction and some will be built during 2025. The modern, environmentally certified log service homes are designed for child protection, mental health care and adult housing services for people with autism spectrum disorder. Several social welfare and healthcare service companies provide services in properties in different cities.

Energy-efficient log service buildings are in demand

Although the construction market has stagnated, the demand for energy-efficient special needs service homes that meet strict sustainability criteria is strong in the real estate investment market. The current transaction shows that energy-efficient, low-carbon and adaptable log buildings built by Hoivarakentajat are also particularly desirable as investment opportunities. Finland will get more log service homes, which are popular with both residents and employees.

Leading players in the social welfare and healthcare sector value a responsible landlord

Finland needs a large number of new care and service homes that meet the energy efficiency and sustainability targets of the various players in the welfare and healthcare sector. In addition to real estate investors, these include service providers, wellbeing services counties and municipalities. Finland's leading providers of social welfare and healthcare services value responsible landlords like Lumme Palvelukiinteistöt, who support their tenants in achieving their sustainability goals. Providing services in new, sensory-friendly log buildings also contributes to strengthening the competitiveness of the social welfare and healthcare service companies.
